David Warren Tour was a cracker of an event

July 20, 2025

On the 20th of July we held our annual David Warren classic car tour, it is in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

We have raised now raised £12, 093.62 for this amazing charity, from our classic tours, this is something we are all incredibly proud of!

We started in Glastonbury at the Abbey tea rooms for a divine breakfast, Mary Parker and her staff donate all the food and their time to this great cause to help us raise as much as possible, a huge thank-you must go to them. We had signing on, tour packs issued and a chin wag before setting off on a 70 mile route of Somerset. This year the weather was a bit wet in the morning for signing on, how ever the sun had his hat on later in the morning, everyone to set off on the amazing route which Chris and Sue House had spent a long time planning.

The finish this year was at Oake Manor Golf Club, we all enjoyed a lovely carvery lunch and pudding. We tried to keep the cars together at the finish venue, but most places cant accommodate so many cars in one area. This year wasnt a full entry, we felt very sad about this as its a lot of work to get this event put together, also we believe u it is a great event. We are going to work on this for next year and try and get back to a full entry, we think there is now so much choice for shows and events that there is no wonder we were a little short on numbers.

Well done to Geoff Taylor for winning the car of the day award, his Alfa Romeo 6c is gorgeous and it was well deserved!

We hope you had a lovely day and enjoyed all the celebrations, we cant wait to raise some more money next year.

Thanks,

BOSMC
