Annual Awards Dinner With Guest Speaker - Dave Whittock

On Saturday the 21st of February, we have our annual awards evening and dinner at Batch Country Hotel, as usual it is a sit down 3 course dinner with tea/coffee after. It will be a fantastic evening of celebrations, lots of awards for some incredible achievements by our members. From speed events, to marshalling or general motor club duties. We have a fantastic guest speaker who has had an amazing career with cars and motorsport.

Some info on Dave Whittock

WestCountry resident, international Works Co-Driver, rallied for many years with Sweden’s Per Eklund, in the Toyota Team, before they moved on to using an Audi Quattro on events. Then in 1986 they switched to using the Clarion backed MG Metro 6R4. Rallying has taken Dave all over the globe, with events that include the East African Safari, the 1000 Lakes in Finland and events in the USA and Far East. Each of these events have a memory for Dave and he will share some with us on the night. Having retired from the Co-drivers seat Dave then became the team manager for Nissan and worked closely with Stig Blomqvist managing his Historic Rally activities. These days Dave is an active event organiser,Chairman of Bath Motor Club and as father to his son the international Co-Driver Ross Whittock.
